Emily Irene VanCamp was originally looking to become a dancer, but following a trip to Katie's studio in the Ladies Room, she became more interested in acting. She began to take acting classes, and also landed roles as a guest on a TV show from her home country of Canada. She's appeared on a variety of series, such as Are You afraid of The Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp's professional career began to take off when his role as Sam Dolan, a regular on WB Horror Mystery Glory Days. Although the show received positive critiques, it's poor rating led to it being removed after only nine episodes. The actress, born on 12 May 1986, was quickly offered another part in Everwood. The role she played was Amy Abbott. Her part in the movie brought her 4 Teen Choice Awards nominations and a Young Artist Award.
