Julie Chen Moonves hosted the popular reality TV show in the summer of Big Brother which returned to CBS for the 22nd season on August 5. Chen Moonves had been the first of The Talk's hosts, hosting and moderating the show from 2010 until the year 2018. In the year she began writing that her real passion began to emerge. She won another Emmy as a host of an outstanding entertainment talk program. The Talk is a show that examines current events by having five host. Chen Moonves co-hosted CBS NewsThe Morning Show on a weekday The Early Show in 2002 in 2010 and then became host of the talk show. Prior to that she was anchor of the news on The Early Show and anchor of CBS Morning News, the CBS Television Network's early-morning, half-hour broadcast.Chen Moonves covered several major news stories on The Early Show, including the war in 2003 Iraq. Chen Moonves was assigned to Cairo after the 9/11 attacks. She went down and interviewed the father of hijackers for an eye-opening and captivating interview. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers including former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, the Queen Rania of Jordan as well as former defense secretary William Cohen, and celebrities including Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Blige, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, Barbra Streisand, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey, Chris Rock, Mel Brooks, Robert DeNiro, and Jennifer Lopez. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter, who has interviewed stars like Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was the reporter for WDTN TV Dayton located in Dayton in Dayton, Ohio (1995-1997). While completing her last semester at University, she served as an assistant at ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) and was the director of ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news service). As a desk assistant, she worked in ABC News' Nightline program featuring Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is as one of her journalist idols. Chen Moonves and Ted Koppel worked together in Anatomy of a Riot - an evening show on television that won the Columbia du-Pont award - which focused on the Los Angeles riots of 1992.
