Annet Mahendru

Mahendru, a Russian-Indian mother was born in Afghanistan. Mahendru is fluent in German Russian English, French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru has a Russian-Indian father. At age 11 she choreographed a performance which earned her a spot on German TV as a graceful Russian snow maiden that turns into a lively Indian dancer. After completing high school and college in New York, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from St. John's University. In college, she attended acting classes at the HB studio but the moved on to study improvisation in The Groundlings School taking on several comedy shows afterward. She was created in Kabul Afghanistan, to Hindu-Indian Ghanshan Kenne Mahendru (father) as well as Russian Olga (mother). The family moved from Afghanistan to East Meadow New York, along with her father, when she was 13 years old. She is a star alongside Matthew Rhys and Keri Russel on FX's The Americans. The Americans' Nina Sergeevna Krilova is her most famous role. The actress is famous for her recurring roles on The Following on Fox, The Following & NBC's The Blacklist.
